Begüm is a Research Associate at SustainFinance. She holds a BA in Economics from Bilkent University and an MSc in Sustainable Finance from Tilburg University. Since her university years, she has been interested in sustainability and has shaped her academic and professional path around the view that finance sits at the core of sustainability transformation.
She has gained professional experience across sustainability consulting and banking, including roles at Forvis Mazars and ING Netherlands, where she worked on ESG reporting, climate risk analysis, and sustainability-related strategic frameworks aligned with regulatory developments. Her work has focused on translating sustainability and climate risks into financially relevant and analytical insights. She aims to further develop her expertise in sustainable finance and ESG research, with a particular focus on strengthening the integration of sustainability considerations into financial decision-making and investment strategies.
